Privacy Policy

FTKNX respects the privacy and rights of its visitors. No effort is made to identify individuals without their knowledge.

When a visitor requests pages from the FTKNX site, our Web servers automatically log the browser's domain name, and IP address. This information is collected solely for statistical purposes and is not used to identify individuals.

Personally identifiable information such as visitor's name, telephone number, postal address and email address are only collected for customers who use FTKNX services and such information is not shared with any third party with the exception of the payment processor when services are contracted.

To enable FTKNX to track whether a visitor has been to your website before (i.e. a first-time or returning visitor) we send a cookie to your visitors' computer. This information is collected solely to improve the service we offer to you and statistical purposes and is not used to identify individuals.

FTKNX maintains a strict "no-spam" policy. Your e-mail address will not be sold to a third party.

Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions without notice by posting the changes to our Web site. We or you may terminate your account and remove your information from our database at any time for any reason.

You have read our copyright notice and terms and conditions and you agree to them. You agree to use our services at your own risk. Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. You agree that you have made your own determination regarding the usefulness of the service. We disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for damages, direct or consequential, resulting from your use of the service, any failure to provide service, suspension of service, or termination of service. We do not guarantee the availability of the service. You agree not to hold us responsible for data loss or interruption of service of any kind.

We retain ownership and all rights to FTKNX logos, trademarks, software, trade secrets, databases, reports, and Web site.

If this agreement is terminated by us or by you for any reason, you agree to remove our code, logos and trademarks from all of your Web sites and other items.

This Agreement will be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Canada without regard to its conflict of law principles. Venue for any dispute under this Agreement will be Toronto, Canada.

You may print and download portions of material from the FTKNX website. We retain ownership and all rights to FTKNX logos, trademarks, software, trade secrets, databases, reports, and Web site.

If this agreement is terminated by us or by you for any reason, you agree to remove our logos and trademarks from all of your Web sites and other items.

YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD US HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, LIABILITY COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ATTORNEY'S FEES) ARISING FROM YOUR VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT OR ANY THIRD-PARTY'S RIGHTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INFRINGEMENT OF ANY COPYRIGHT, VIOLATION OF ANY PROPRIETARY RIGHT AND INVASION OF ANY PRIVACY RIGHTS IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED. You also grant to FTKNX the right to use your name in connection with the submitted materials and other information as well as in connection with all advertising, marketing and promotional material related thereto. You agree that you shall have no recourse against FTKNX for any alleged or actual infringement or misappropriation of any proprietary right in your communications to FTKNX.

FAQs

A. We support any self-monitoring security system that has the option to add an account(email) to the system.

A. FTKNX is designed for self-monitored security system owners that want an additional line of defense. Great for vacationers who just want to enjoy their time away.

A. After booking a security package, we will send you a personilzed @ftknx.com email. Please use that email to add or temporary direct security alerts to.

A. When ordering FTKNX please specify the date and time you want the service to start. Monitoring will stop depending on the service time purchased.

A. Currently FTKNX is available in Canada and the USA.

A. We adhere to VARP(Verified Alarm Response Program) before contacting emergency services.

A. The no fee Verified Alarm Response Program (VARP) provides that an Alarm Company or Monitoring Service must verify an intrusion alarm using at least one of the following criteria prior to requesting police emergency response: a. Audio sensors that provide the Alarm Company or Monitoring Service with the ability to confirm criminal activity by the sounds detected within the premise; b. A video system that provides the Alarm Company or Monitoring Service with the ability to confirm criminal activity through visual images; c. Confirmation made by an Owner, a person to whom the Owner has provided a key, an alternate response agency, or a witness on scene who can confirm the existence of a suspected criminal act; or d. Multiple activation points and the Alarm Company, Monitoring Service or monitoring system determines the manner or sequence of activation indicates that suspected criminal activity is, or has taken place.

A. Any fees associated with contacting emergency sevices depends on the jurisdiction that those services are in. Any fees charged by authorities will be the responsibility of the homeowner.

A. NO. FTKNX is a pay-as-you-go service. Choose the service time you want and that's it, no yearly or monthly contract required.

A. Because of the costs associated with setting up your account and the pay-as-you-go service, we do NOT offer refunds.
